Open TeamCenter Item from NX Navigator

Is there any way to open an Item in TeamCenter by selecting it in the NX Navigator? Currently I right click on the file in the Navigator, select properties, copy the name in attributes and paste it in TeamCenter.

I don't think the NXOpen API gives you access to the TC graphical user interface.
